The Thai Nguyen Tea Festival 2009 sponsored by Vietnam Television (VTV) and the Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station took place in La Bang Commune, Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province on November 28.
Nine stories of the lives, dreams and struggles of people living in the three Mekong River sub-regional countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia are now spotlighted at an exhibition in Hanoi. “Mekong’s story: Challenge and dream, ” a mobile exhibition that opened at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology on November 25 aims to enhance intangible values and reflect the challenges the nations are facing in ensuring balance between preservation of cultural identities and development.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico joined other embassies of ASEAN member countries to organize a fair in Mexico City on November 28. The ASEAN trade fair displayed a wide range of handicraft products, traditional dishes. In addition, art programs from the participating countries were performed during the fair.
A conference entitled “Promoting investment in culture, sports and tourism fields in Southern provinces” was held in the Dai Nam Tourist Resort in Binh Duong Province on November 28 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST).
An exhibition of Vietnamese photos, paintings and cultural publications is being held at the Vietnamese House in Paris, France. The exhibition displays paintings by Pham Manh Tuan as well as a selection of object d’art and handicrafts.
Foreign tourists and expatriates in the HCMC can participate in a poll of the 100 most existing sites or activities in HCMC from now until the middle of November. The aim is to present to visitors a complete image of the city and attract more guests.
