Hung Vuong Museum inaugurated

Hung Vuong Museum inaugurated, Vietnam travel information Hung Vuong Museum has been inaugurated in Phu Tho Province to commemorate the Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary.

The museum started construction on December 25, 2007 with a total area of over 15,000m² and an investment of VND165 billion. The museum is built with three floors as a replica of a stilt house in the north with four red-tile roofs in Dong Son design in combination with modern architecture.

The ground floor of the museum includes two areas displaying items on different subjects and workshops for restoring objects. The first floor is reserved for showcasing items under the theme Phu Tho People and the Nation from the Hung Kings until the Feudal Dynasties. The second floor is dedicated to an exhibition entitled Phu Tho people and the nation from the August Revolution until now.

The museum also displays antiques of the Ly-Tran dynasties collected by UNESCO. Via these artifacts, viewers can get a panoramic view of the culture, arts and achievements of the two dynasties.

The museum is also exhibiting 58 motifs introducing ideas to design the Hung Vuong Towers at the Hung Kings Temple Complex. (Source: SGT)
